Handcrafted in Door County, WIsconsin
Just a short drive from the scenic shores of majestic Lake Michigan, you’ll find Rosewood Dairy. It’s a small creamery, situated off a rural county road, neighbored by farms and fields. That’s where you will find us handcrafting fresh cheeses each day, starting long before the sun even rises over the serene landscape. Our milk comes from small, local family farms and goes on to create our award-winning cheeses.
A few miles away, at Renard’s Artisan Cheese Store, those same cheeses fill our coolers. We produce more than 100 varieties for customers to choose from, including fresh, squeaky cheese curds daily. Being strong ambassadors of all things local, our store proudly offers a wide selection of specialty foods from throughout Door County and Wisconsin. Additionally, we stock a curated array of local items that make great gifts for yourself or someone else. Complimentary cheese and wine tastings are available 7 days a week. Locals and travelers alike are sure to enjoy our fresh, artisanal offerings. Come see for yourself!
Our retail store is located at 2189 County Road DK in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Renard’s Cheese has been a Door County staple for three generations and now is enjoyed by cheese lovers around the world. Cities as large as Dubai stock our products in their delis. While many things have changed over three generations, the Renard’s family heritage and iconic recipes remain the same.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by the beauty of Door County and are mindful of its well-being during the cheesemaking process. Our sustainable practices include:
~ The cream that separates is transported to a local dairy to produce butter.
~ The whey is sent to a whey processing plant. Some of the end products from the whey are protein snacks, protein drinks, and high-grade animal feed, among others.
~ The water that is generated during the cheesemaking process is delivered back into the environment, enriching the soil for farmland in a safe and effective way.
